Teachers' Resource Kit
on Fisheries for Vanuatu

Prepared by Michael King with information and comments supplied by staff from the Pacific Community, the Vanuatu Ministry of Education and Training, and the Vanuatu Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, Fisheries and Biosecurity.

This kit has been prepared for primary and secondary school teachers in Vanuatu. It includes suggestions for exercises and activities for younger and older students, learning outcomes and curriculum links. It is expected that teachers will use their local knowledge and expertise to adapt, extend and add to these.

The guide, the 23 information sheets and the 3 posters available in the Teachers' Kit can be used in conjunction with the Information Kit for Fishing Communities, which includes a guide, 29 information sheets, 3 leaflets and 3 posters. These were designed for fishing communities but contain much information useful to teachers and students.
